Just to say what a great forum!!!

Had contemplated various debt solutions for many Months prior to agreeing to enter into an IVA. I had £35k in unsecured debt, costing me around £600 a Month in interest alone. I tried intitally arranging an affordable debt consolidation loan - no joy. Spoke to a few companies, before agreeing an IVA costing me £277 pcm (and got to keep the roof over my head & my car). Creditors Meeting end of July - all rubber-stamped.

Whilst I am aware that I may have to attempt to release house equity in Year 5, or continue the plan for a 6th Year, I have regained control of my finances, and enjoyed shredding the credit cards!!!

Good luck to all of you in getting out of debt.
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.

This is the thing, Uptomyneck .... yes, there are bumps and blips along the way, and even disappointment at the speed of completion -- or lack thereof...... But that is ( will be) nothing compared to the bumps, blips and downright disaster that might have befallen us, were it not for an IVA.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
