I was transferred from debtmatters to Grant Thorton in Feb and sent a letter in February requesting to do a ful and final based on the sale of our house, after 16 weeks of chasing i finally have received a response. The issue is that house prices have fallen and i now am worried that we will not get the price we need to do a full and final. Our house was excluded at time we took out IVA. My question is around compersation for GT lack of service and can i ask them to reduce there fees? Is there any FSA group i can complaint to if not?

It took 6 months to arrange my Full and Final, and im not with Grant Thornton!
Your house may not necessarily have sold by now even if it was put on the market in Feb (and prices were falling even then in many areas)
i think it is highly unlikely you will get any compensation, I would just forget about it and move on. Sadly changing IP s is very difficult too!

You have few grounds for compensation or a complaint, and full and final settlements at the moment based upon property sales are very difficult to broker - given the uncertainty in the marketplace. If you do not feel that the house will sell at the level you need to fulfil a full and final settlement, perhaps it is better that this has not yet been put forward!

I understand what you say Melanie but we just want out, debt matters were useless and would not include one of our debt which we have still had to pay and with the rising fuel costs / living it is hell and we get no help or support. We also are at the end of a fixed mortgage period with N Rock and mortgage increases by £255.00 from mext month and they dont want to keep us as they are trying to get rid of there loan book. My wife has had 2 miscarriages through stress and we just want to sell up and start again.

cb3, that's awful, I'm so sorry. Hope you get this sorted, why did they not include one of your debts? All unsecured debts must be included. X

The debt was a 10000 mortgage on my mom and dads property which was in my name but they said as it was my mom and dad house it could be included. They would nit even include the monthly payment as outgoings.
