Great news Debbie, well done. I understand totally about being a bit mean with money - so am I now - I'm not even in IVA yet - hopefully soon.

Good luck for the future.

Thanks everyone ... yes, it has been a somewhat incredible journey Chardonnay ... and if anyone is reading this who may be now where I was a few years ago (i.e seriously considering whether to drive my car into the nearest motorway bridge) ... all I can say is hang on in there [:)]

Well done Debbie - I look forward to the day I finish. Doubt if I'll get a cheque though!

Enjoy your totally debt free life!

I still can't work out what the cheque is for! There must have been some money left over!

Skip ... don't you get a certificate of completion of some kind when your BR is up?

You can get a certificate of discharge from the court but it costs £60 and I'm hoping not to need one as I can't afford it! It's a point of principal really - I paid £485 to go BR and now they want another £60 from me for what is apparently just a piece of thin paper!

Thanks Kerri ... what a surprise for you also! Isn't it strange how little things can come to mean so much when you simplify your life.

Skip ... you once posted a list of the credit reference agencies and addresses ... do you still have the list.

I haven't looked at my credit profile in years ... it would be worth getting it updated though as I am going to have to look into sorting something out with my mortgage in the not too distant future.
