Hi All
I wonder if I can ask you for some advice. My 1st annual review is due this month and I was just wondering how I can prove that my expenses have risen, Would it be reasonable for me to increase the following.
Gas was £30 increase to £35
Electricity was £30 increase to £35
Pertol was £95 increase to £130

Do these increase seem fair? Are they in line with how much they have increased over the year. I have worked out the Petrol but not to sure about the gas and Electric.

My council tax has also risen so will have to include that.

From what I have worked out I believe my payments should remain about the same as our income and expenses looks like this
Total Income £2500
Total Expenses £2347
This leaves £153
My IVA payment is £308
This leaves me with with £155 to make up which I have been managing by doing an average of £200 a month overtime. I do not have the 50% overtime clause in my IVA so I havent had to hand this over.

I do not have any issues with paying the same as we are just about managing Ok but any increase would make life hard espacally as the cost of living is rising so fast.
Any comments would be great.

Hi you should be fine with all those

IP's generally only request evidence where something has increased by over 10-15%

Even then I think most of them are decent enough and aware enough to realise what is going on in the world at the moment with petrol prices, food prices etc

They may ask to see copies of bills etc but my IP didn't even though a few of my costs have rocketed

Hi again Adam. Hope you are well.
I sent any proof I could of any rises or increase with my annual review stuff. I printed a ac history for gas and elec and sent a copy of the letter for a rent rise.
It can do no harm to send them if you can but otherwise an explanation of the increase should suffice. Hope all goes well.

Hi, It seems a bit unfair for you to rely on overtime to meet your basic living costs- what if the overtime wasn't available or if you became ill? Seems to me you already pay too much.

I can only speak for myself all my bills are paid by direct debit or standing orders and I have compiled a spreadsheet covering a year. My review is now due - I will send them a copy of the spreadsheet so they can see how much I am paing out each month as these are actual expenses I suggest they will have to accept the figure put before them

By accounting for overtime as usual income you may have set yourself up for a fall should the overtime suddenly become unavailable(believe me I am £400 a month down due to the current overtime ban at work!!).
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Hi All
Thank you for your replies.
I will fill in the form and see what the IP says. I am not worried about the overtime ending here at work as they are begging us to do overtime everyday thankfully. Thanks for the advice on budget sheets and spreadsheets will defo start doing that so I will be in a better postion for 4 next year.
