I think cats do it to wind people up - my nan couldn't stand them and my mum's cat used to spend most of his time with her!

Sounds like the perfect excuse to have them both! I was only supposed to choose one one when I got my boys but they were brothers and the last two left. It would have been mean to seperate them! They were a birthday present from my best friend so I kind of skipped the bit where I'd chosen them both!! My dad wasn't impressed but it didn't take them long to win him round!
My first cat was a stray that adopted us, my dad insisted she couldn't stay. She was with us 20 yr!!

I got Elsa first 12 years ago, Libby was a straggly looking thing. Elsa cried all night and I couldn't get the picture of Libby out of my head. Went back the next day and got her!! She was a right scamp. climbed in and out of windows. got stuck up trees and behind the gas fire.. a right mischief, I love cats but hubby just puts up with them (he cried when he went to vets with Libby and they put her to sleep tho!!) secret cat lover really!!

Great move Skippy,
You just can't beat them when they have a Pepe Le Pew moment, leaping around as though they're walking on an electric fence,,,HILARIOUS!

I've been told in no uncertain terms that I can't have both! The foster mum hasn't rung back about KT so at the moment we're only going to see Harry and if we like him he comes home with us on Sunday as far as I know. It does make it easier that they're in seperate foster homes!

I went to the local rescue home, basically it's a lady and her family who take in strays and cats and dogs needing rehoming.
Now going to a rescue centre isn't a good idea with your 'softer-than-you' & very persuasive daughter!!! Went in to 'look' at the cats and came out with 3!!!!! Large white tom, snowy, and brother and sister duo called Bonnie and Clyde....how could we resist???? Definately used up alot of brownie points with the hubby!!!!! lol
It's a very dangerous thing when you see their pleading eyes and their cries for friendship, definately pulls on the old heart strings.....
Adopted Lexi, who's preggers at the moment, when someone our son knew was going to drown her as he's g'friend was pregnant. She is such a lovely little thing and very mischievious...likes to attack hubby's feet dangling out of the bed..especially at 3 in the morning...haha

Dave and I went to look at a cat that one of his customers was trying to rehome a couple of weeks ago. Eddie was lovely, but at the time we convinced ourselves that we couldn't have him as he has a problem with his eyes - they get runny when he's nervous - and he's on a special diet from an infection he had when he was a kitten. He's also quite a timid cat and he ran away from Dave every time he did work there.

Their owner told us that all 3 cats (no, I can't have them all!) they were going to be collected by Cats Protection last weekend but he's just rung me and told me that Eddie is sitting watching him work, which he's never done before! I'm now torn - Eddie needs a home, and having met him he was a lovely cat. He wouldn't come near us when we first got there, but when we left an hour later I'd been tickling his tummy and he'd walked over to Dave and made a fuss of him!

I've looked online at the special diet and it doesn't cost a lot more than Whiskas or Felix, and his eyes only seem to be a problem when he's nervous so I am leaning towards getting him!

I'm useless at making decisions!

It took our 3 rescue cats over 2 years to settle down properly. They would jump and flee if there was a bang or sudden noise, especially snowy. Now he lies on my bed on his back while we tickle his tum!!!!!

They all have their own quirky personalities. Boo runs and hides if anyone comes to the door whilst the other one mugs them! My first one didn't like men!
Once they've got there paws in the door, they don't give you a choice about loving them!
Convince Dave it's a trial period for both and they'll win him round!

His as fat as a barrel now (still scruffy) but hes lovely.
Went to get a cat.....came back with 2 because hubby didnt wanna leave 1 on its own.
Went for a parrot.......came back with 2 because hubby didnt wanna leave 1 on its own.(only got 1 now)

sounds like 'ugly duckling' syndrome, a loving home and some much needed TLC and he'll turn into the most beautiful cat EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
