I think its a bad week for forum dogs this week . My golden retriever was in the vets last week , she had picked up a bad virus then went in anapholatic ( think thats how u spell it!!) shock because of it. Its taken just over a wk but she seems to be getting better now. Only thing is shes passed it to my other dogs so ive 2 more poorly babies now!!

i hate is when theres something wrong with a pet. i wish they could talk.

i'm sure my cats depressed. i think i'm gonna take her to the vets tomorrow if shes no better. shes sulked all week. today shes stayed in the back garden all day and shes a house cat she never goes out for this long. her eyes look a bit gooey too like shes crying.

I always said that after I lost my last 2 passed away , but i've got another 4 now, the house is too quiet without them, ( can't u tell I have no kids). My chocolate labrador , which seems to be the poorliest at the mo with the bug they're passing to each other , was so ill when I got her i used to have to wrap her in a pillowcase and rock her to sleep cos it was the only way she wasnt in pain.

Hi Connie, your cat my have a col, plus if they've been out in the wind they get runny eyes.. don't think tablets are really anti depressants, he said they should perk her up and make her feel a little better... (hope they aren't illegal)[:o)]

yeah i think she might have she only ever goes in the back garden. shes a persian so she always has runny eyes anyway but they are worse than normal today. i've bathed them, which went down well. NOT!!! lol.
i'll see what shes like in the morning then take her. i got another kitten as a play mate about 6 weeks ago too, they were getting on fine but now i think shes sulking about it.

becky your house must be mental. my friend has 3 big dogs and i don't know how she copes, its a mad house when we go round. she couldn't live without her dogs though.
so sad about when you got your lab, poor thing. least they've got you to take care of them now.

It is but we're in a routine now so it gets easier. 2 of them are my mums but as she works shifts I look after them.
About ur cats , my friends cat was put on anti depressents. They moved house and the cat went missing , we found it in a neighbours shed with a wound like it had been shot with a pellet gun. Took it to the vets and he discovered she'd done it to herself, the move had upset her that much. She was fine after a few weeks, we laughed after about her "self harming cat" but she was so worried at the time!!
