Hi everyone

Was just wondering if the process of identity checking and pick up of ORIGINAL documents was the same for everyone using clearstart? I have not had a face to face meeting although was offered one but am know thinking i have put my whole identity into a couriers hand as he collected the info when checking our passports.

Is this common pratice?? maybe worrying about nothing but just wanted to check to put my mind at rest....

These days due to Money Laundering Regulations coming into force within the last few years, it is a requirement that all IVA providers, indeed other financial or legal services providers, take active measures to identify prospective clients as who they say they are, so Yes, Clearstart are just complying with these regulations.

We used Clearstart and because we didnt live too far from the office we went and met our advisor face to face so we were able to take the relevant documents with us . I have sent many documents to them via post and they have always arrived . Clearstart also have speical delivery envelopes so paperwork got there next day , but they pay for that theres no charge . Clearstart were brillient with us and we had no problems. Our ivas were approved on monday 7th jan.
