an IVA and cannot open an account Is this correct?

Hi Neil. There are accounts for those in an iva, but they have to be basic with no credit attached and not attached to any of their creditors. If they are at the start of their iva they may not have been able to open one straight away and may be worried if their wages go into an account of a creditor they will lose their money as the creditor may withhold it.

I beleive the co op bank are very good and Im sure people have posted on here that they have opened their basic account with no problems post iva.

Direct debits etc are allowed and there is a Maestro debit card.
