should all my defaults be removed from my file

i have just finished my i.v.a early(in 2 years not five)and paid all my creditors in full.(100p in the pound)should all my defaults now be removed from my credit file and how long will it take for my file to return to normal.many thanks

Hi
Your defaults will remain on your file for a further four years[six years from when they were first registered].Concluding your IVA early dosen't automatically give you a clean credit record.

You can also write to the three main credit reference agencies, and ask for them to put a note on these defaults, explaining that they were included in a satisfied IVA. No use if a computerised search is run, but will show up if a creditor runs a manual search.

You do wonder with debts all paid why you still have that IVA entry in your creditfile that will be prejudicial to your credit worthness.

Ask for your credit score from Experian.See if your ability to borrow would be no better off than some one with 4 years of an IVA to go
