Same here Lily - it would have been lovely to see you again, but totally understand that you have so much going on right now.

Not yet, we just have to wait for David to come back with one. He probably has one of his staff sorting out a reasonably priced hotel.

Probable date 18th July if that is OK for everyone?

My family are coming to me on the 25th July from Manchester to scatter the ashes of my brother. 18th I will try my best for, the only thing that will stop me is finances but I will do my utmost and won't need a hotel as have plenty of family to stay with or don't mind a travelodge cheapie x

I haven't managed to get to any get togethers yet. The same date of July 18 is good for me anyway and Manchester is nearer.

Ok guys, I have been asked to look at organising something re a frugal/thrifty friends meeting and am happy to do so.

The date we are looking at is probably 18th July, location Manchester, venue to be decided, probably somewhere in the centre.

I am looking to get a discounted rate for rooms if people want to stay over, with a buffet and (possibly) a free or subsidised bar. To do so though, I will need an idea of numbers so that I can liaise with the venue.

Rather than post on this thread, if anyone is serious about attending then please e mail me directly, my details are in the experts part on the left, so that I can get an idea. You can use your forum or real name, I don't mind either. Now, I am away for a week and a half but if I get enough response then I shall crack on with it when I return.

Hope to see lots of you in mid July (especially Mel if she is back so that she can tell me all about the Lions tour!!)

Regards.
