Jan, I beleive you have a paypal card and was wandering if you have ever had trouble with it. A couple of weeks ago I went to use mine and it was refused and when I checked a payment had been taken unaouthrised. I rang payplan who cancelled my card and issued another which I got early last week. I have used the new one twice and again an unaouthorised payment has been taken. Have you had any similar problems or has anyone else. I put this on the social post just in case its not relevant to the debt posts.

Sorry Paul, just noticed this (watching baseball at the moment!)

I've not had any problems at all with my Paypal card. I don't use it often, just as a backup when buying on Ebay. I've not had any unauthorised payments (mind you, I only have 6p on there at the moment so good luck to anyone who tries!)

I can only suggest that you speak to Paypal again.

thanks for this Jan, did you know you can make payments on ebay straight from a basic Nationwide account. Just a thought if thats all you use it for. Its a bit odd with my card I have never had trouble with any card before. I will use all the balance up its less than £10 and see if anybody tries again. I will just top up if I need too urgently.

I always make sure that I have sufficient funds in my Paypal account before buying anything. The money in the Nationwide is accounted for, although I do have it as back up funding (I just rush and make a payment in to cover my funds if needs be).

I wonder how someone has managed to get hold of your details. I would let it run down and then see what happens.

Do you know where these payments have come from?

Log onto Paypal and it will direct you to where you can apply for the card.

I know that ladyh had a problem recently, so you have to check where they are accepted.

I use mine just for online purchases. No problems with that.
