I've got my 7 year old granddaughter here today and she's acting very grown up and I certainly don't want her to grow up.

Can't imagine my youngest moving out either but I know she's going to next year to go to Uni. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Daughter is away for training next week for two weeks, then she has two weeks away in France and then another weeks training. It will be total bliss!

She has a team leader job close to us and her fiance has applied for a similar position close by which means they will be living with us if he gets it.

WW3 will erupt if they do!

I just got belled, I'm being taken to see "Hurts" at Somerset House in July, off topic I know, I love them, pure 80"s, with a bit of Kylie bunged in. Funny innit, you can be in the pits of confusion and despair, happiness and joy, and life can still just very occasionally throw you something gorgeous. I will shut up now, as I'm beginning to sound like a saggy titted hippy.

I left home at 16, with a walloping great big casserole in my bag.

[:D]Quark! I left home at 15, with a "bun in the oven"[:I][:)]

Not good Jan...of course you want him to get the job, but move in...eeek!! I love my girls to bits and if they were stuck, then yes my door is always open, but I wouldn't want them to live we us.

I couldn't ever go back now - my mum has always said I can if I need to, but we'd end up killing each other!

My bun in the oven was born when I was 17, then the world as I knew it exploded around us. Through no fault of our own. All those prayers and tears, and longing, I never dared believe i was ever worthy enough to be a dad until......... It's too private.Forum is forum.

Oh Quark, I can imagine how hard it has been, but you and your daughter have found each other and deserve all the happiness that will surely come your way.

Nicely put Julie. I'm glad Quark managed to find his way back to his family.

We had the daughter here at the weekend and that was long enough!

Lovely news quark - Im so pleased for you.

I moved out when I was 16/17 & ended up going back at about 22 & quickly left again about 6 weeks later - it was absolute torture!

When we first moved to this house which is across the road from my parents, it took me ages to adjust as I felt I had moved backwards instead of forwards! My boys even go to the school I went too, I hated walking back into that school! I even met my first primary school teacher & it was one I did not like!
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

I left home when I was 18, I think in hindsight I was a bit too young. The first few years were quite hard. Might have been better to move out a few years later.
