I should be jumping for joy, my IVA has finished I've got my Engagement party all sorted for next month. My 2013 wedding is nearly all but planned but I still find myself panicking about the silly little things. My finace wants to move in with me now, which is obvious he was going to do anyway, we just wanted to wait until the IVA was settled and I'd got my head around things properly, so I start to panic about that. My first thought was money. What if it all happened again, what if I got dragged down that road again. He's not great with money, which is another reason why I didn't want him moving in til now. Then there's paying for the wedding. I've obviously put my foot down hard that we are only doing it if we pay for it ourselves. Any whiff of a loan and it's not happening. He thinks I'm over reacting but then he hasn't been through 5 years of what I've had. It must sound mad considering we're getting married but I want things to be right this time, nothing rushed.
Then I've had a bit of an upset with Pay pal. I've bought something of eBay for my youngest's bedroom and pay pal have taken the money twice. it's only £20 but I still thought of how it would look on my bank statement if I have to send it to the IVA. I guess the feeling of having to watch everything will fade in time but I didn't expect it to be honest.
Sorry for waffling on, just had to get it off my chest.

I think your feelings are quite normal. It will take some time to get back to normal. Take a deep breath and concentrate on your engagement and wedding plans. As long as you remember that your money is your own now. Enjoy it!!

Hi SharonC The paypal thing - I think this probably happens all the time, please contact them and they should issue a refund. Before that though, if you think it is possible that you may have clicked the confirm button twice when you paid for your item, you may have sent a payment twice in error so check your paypal account if it looks like 2 identical payments done straight after the other you have probably done this, contact the seller who should issue a refund I did this once I pressed the confirm button twice then I paid twice! You should be able to get this sorted.

You are bound to be anxious we have just recently completed our IVA and I'm still in shock.

There's no way we'll ever get credit ever again.

Good luck with your wedding and try not to worry so much but I know it#s easier said than done! Hugs

Oscar

Thanks Oscar. I will look into my PayPal account just incase I did press the button twice. I'm trying not to worry too much, it's a hard habit to get out of after 5 years x
