Well -- the sun has been glorious today, and the young 'un off out with his mum. So I decided to try to get the hoover working again ---- everything runs, just no suction to speak of, and can't afford a new one!

I took the thing apart -- and I mean, stripped it right down --- cleaned it all out. No obvious solid blockages, but loads of muck drifting around the insides. Washed the filters and, after three attempts, managed to get if back togther again.

Plugged it in and .. did it work ? It now sucks like a ... well .. a ... sucky thing ! Vesuvius in reverse !!! Excellent .... anybody want a spare screw ????

At least you managed to put it back together Foggy. Can you borrow a Hoover or look on the Facebook selling pages for a dirt ( sorry) cheap one?

Hope your day was ok without little foggy x

I'm a single bloke now, Julie - I am allowed to live in a dust cloud :-) To be honest I hate it when little foggy goes out. At least when he is at school I am working ---- but he enjoys it (even though he tells me he missed me).

I'm sure he does miss you Foggy, next time he goes out why don't you go and do something for yourself - meet up with friends or anything that is all about you?

Well -- two things to report today ---- found a filter I had forgotten to put back in the Hoover --- popped it back in and Houston We Have Lift Off ! I now have a fully functioning, but purely decorative, vacuum cleaner again :-)

And, while little Foggy went swimming with mum, I went to .... shhh ... McDonalds (haven't been allowed for a while as 'er wot used to be indoors is a veggie).

[:)] now I like that post Foggy! Good news on the Hoover and a bug thumbs up on the maccy d's visit - why don't you make a list of other things you may have missed out on and can now do freely?
