Could you tell me if an IVA shows up on a CRB check? I am worried that my employers will find out about my IVA.

Totally agree with Viki.

CRB is only for convictions and cautions.

You should be aware though that all IVAs are registered on a government database that is searchable just like a credit check. Although the contents of this database are not publicised, anyone can search it, and in fact many banks and other consumer lending institutions do search it to find out if any of their customers have gone into IVAs.

If you are interested, take a look here http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/ .

Criminal records check will not show an IVA/bankcruptcy or anything financial, I have to have an enhanced CRB check yearly for my position.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

A CRB only looks at criminal records I have 4 at the present moment for work and youth work I do outside of work.

I presume you mean 4 CRB checks rather than 4 criminal records Jan!!!

Hi,
I posted on this a short time ago and everyone is right (Their posts helped to reassure me and let me stop worrying). I have just had my disclosure back and it was all clear so the IVA did not show up so you can relax on this issue.
Hugs,
