I have varied cases in the past allowing a longer payment break in order for a client to find an new job, so this is possible, but the timescale will have to be realistic.

Are there any assets which would be at risk under bankruptcy proceedings? If not, then this may provide you with a more acceptable alternative.

If you live at home ,would it not be possible to pay 250 a month.out of 800 leaves you 550 for lodge money extra.Or do you have other major bills to pay? We managed on income 1500 a month for 5 of us paying 250 a month .

If this happened in april and they have acknowledged you contacted them can you not argue that the supervisor should of arranged a meeting of creditors then.To ask for reduction.Id mention this because maybe then you can ask for any variation to be taken into account backdated to april.Just a thought.

I have been in contact with ClearDebt today, the letter which I received was a mistake.

She is going to hold a variation meeting with my creditors to request a further break during which time I hopefully find higher paid employment.

At this time she is not requesting a token payment from me due to the reduction in wage and increased living costs.

Hopefully things work out, seems such a waste to have come nearly 3 years into it to end up going bankrupt!

Will keep you posted.

Thanks for the advice :-)
