Hi!

I'm thinking of applying for a administrative job with a Magistrates Court, however on the application form it asks whether you are insolvent or not.

If you have an IVA, are you classed as insolvent?

Will the IVA prevent me from getting the job?

Many thanks

Louise

Hi Louise

Yes - on of the key factors you have to demonstrate when you enter into an IVA is that you are actually insolvent. You should probably declare that you are in an IVA with your creditors, which you are paying on a regular basis.
