Creditors meeting adjourned again to 12th May Mrs Skint as was requested by Max Recovery who now hold most of my debt [:(]

Trying to look at it positively in that they must be thinking about it.

Very philosophical about it all Mrs Skint ... it's been going on for a year now.

If it is of any comfort when I proposed my f&f settlement Max Recovery voted in favour even though there was a modification preventing a f&f settlement within the first 24 months so at least they are receptive to offers!!!

Thanks for the reassurance ... may I ask what dividend you were offering?

Original IVA proposed a return of 25p in the £ and my f&f settlement figure would have produced roughly the same dividend - may be a penny or two less. I think the key is to offer at least the return they could expect over the full period but with the sweetener they get the amount quicker!!

Like pixieboy, hubbys offer was for about 3p in the £ less than in original proposal and max recovery owned the majority of the debt. The meeting was adjourned and the offer was accepted a few days later.

At the time, we were told to go ahead with the remortgage which we did. It was only when the report came through the post we realised it had been adjourned. Just as well it was accepted or it could have ended up quite messy.

Mine's gone down from 25p to 19p because another creditor came up at the 11th hour with a ridiculous amount of a claim. The alternative is BR so I'm hoping Max will "take the money and run"!
