I have been in IVA since last November and have been approached by a company who got my number from the insolvency register. They are saying they can reduce my IVA payments. Has anyone else been approached, what can they do and is it legal? Thanks all![:I]

The only person who can help you to reduce your IVA payments is your IP. The firm which has contacted you are merely a marketing firm, probably fronting one of the bankrutpcy assistanc firms. Is there any reason why you need to reduce your payments? If so, you shoudl discuss this with your IP.

Hi
Not much info is there ?
They will either offer an assisted bankruptcy service or a remortgage for a full and final. As Melanie states only your creditors/IP can agree to reduced payments once you are in an IVA.
This abuse of the Insolvency Register seems to be growing

Hi Stuart and Jo were on the same training course at debt Dr and Tim was on a different course.

Service offering is Bankruptcy from IVA's, refinance - but as we all know that is a little difficult and negotiated settlements.

Think they have another ex debt Dr called Ian working with them as they seem to be targeting South wales as well.

Time in industry is about 2 to 2 1/2 years maximum.
