Yes, we are still hopeful that we will be able to come to some sort of compromise with NR and we have every comfidence in Melanie being the right person to do this. We are offering around 25p in the £ to NR after all fees which i thought had a resonable chance of getting approved.

Best of luck with you TD application, the vast majority of them do become protected.

Well they wont get that if she has to file for BR, why do they throw money away like this? Its no wonder they are in trouble.

Anyhow, I hope you manage to get the best result, I am sure that youre in the best hands with it. You cant do anymore than that, so stand proud whatever the outcome.

Typical b***** Northern Rock - are they thick or something? well seeing they had to be rescued by the BofE just simply confirms it.
Really sorry Glen, possibly NR will come to what little sense they have and not go down the sequestration route and get even less than in a PTD.

We were lucky as we had no short-sighted thicko's (sorry aka Northern Rock) in our TD and became Protected, but hopefully NR may be persuaded to see that 90% of (Mrs) Glen's money will go to them? or if the continue nasty her other 10% creditor get nothing.

I really cannot understand why NR have no empathy, but then again there are postings on here that put NR into a different light and I was thinking maybe...so; Illegitimi non carborundum Glen!

(And I'm sure my little outburst will make no difference if they read these threads)

Thanks for all the supportive comments. We really appreciate the help everybody has offered on this forum over the last 2-3 months. I just hope that we are able to change NR's decision. We could very easily took the easy way out and declaired bankrupt (we have no equity in our mortgaged property...and very little assets to speak of...we both have jobs which would not be effected by bankrupcy)but we did feel we owe it too ourselves and our creditors to pay back as much as possible.

thanks,

Glen

Glen

Apologies for the delay in my reploy - I've been out of the office all day. Before we start speculating on reasons why - I think we need to find out why NR have objected to your wife's TD. I will speak to Mark first thing tomorrow morning - and Sue (the actual IP who is acting as your representative) is in Scotland all week so she is also on hand to investigate. Don't give up - I am sure that we will find a solution to suit everyone concerned.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner
