We're with DFD - have been for 12 months. No problems what so ever -always responsive to our questions. In fact emailed them on friday last week asking for a list of all payments so far to correspond with my records - wanted to ensure the extra payments had been attributed correctly to our record - they wrote to me and I received a letter and statement today - not bad three working days!

Give DFD a break - they may be big but still offer a personal service!

lulu, they must really like you! I've been trying to get a response for over 3 weeks now!! apart from the standard ones 'we'll get back to you'!!
I think it depends on what you want, they were quick to send out the i & e when requested and quick to completely ignore it.

Luluj, Not everyone is having a great time with Dfd . Your lucky that you are . Some people did not want to move over from Clearstart. Im glad that they are ok with you but for me personally they have been a complete nightmare and we are so glad to be going BR.Rachell

hope you manage to get a sensible answer from them Cat. They do like to advertise the iva to the bank! I use standing order and have to use something similar. Can you not use this instead of a cheque? I always use email then I have a record of what is said. I think you get passed around so many different people that you can't build up any kind of relationship and for them it's a job whilst for us it's our life.
I've now emailed my ip direct and look forward to being told off!!! but if it gets a response and they take me seriously I don't care!

Hi folks, have been reading this posting and thought phew! I have been with DFD from the outset and have just completed my first year, I haven't had a problem with them although when i sent in my first annual review and got a letter asking for my fuel receipts (which i hadn't kept, lessons learnt there) and my council tax which i did have, i was somewhat upset by the tone of the customer advisor when i contacted them to say i didn't have them and really the increase of fuel was there for all to see but at the end of the day she has a job to do the same as I. Don't worry you have entered into an agreement which has also been approved by law with them and as long as you abide by that then you shouldn't have a problem. I wish each and everyone of you good luck and be positive, I know it is hard sometimes but you will get through this.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

we nearly went through DFD, I'm glad I found this forum and also www.iva.com where I read some feedback.. we went with Melanie after reading all the feedback on IPs.. but if I had gone with DFD I would have still been grateful for the chance to sort our finances out!!
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

if you wish for a rainbow... then you have to put up with the rain xx

Hi rachell

Just wanted to add my best wishes and once you are BR and all this is behind you, you will feel a lot better. Love and hugs to your brave daughter and I hope things go well for her[:D]

With dfd you can only report on your experience with them, which does not sound great to say the least. It seems to vary wildly from one person to the next. I have seen they are advertising on tv again with new adverts I think, hope they give the people that call them a better level of service than you have recieved.

Emma
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Emma x

A very helpful person from DFD just got back to me and was very understanding
I'd emailed again and they had asked someone fron the correct dept to speak with me at the time I specified.I don't want to reduce my payments.I just wanted to know If I could keep the money I've been earning extra as a small pay rise instead of having to give 50% to IVA.This certainly won't cover the extra bill, but will go some way towards it.If I struggle I would let them know but I at least want to try and find the £50 extra. They will let me know in the week.I feel happier.that I've been acknowledged at least!

My faith has been restored too! My ip emailed me and apologised for no-one responding. Hopefully I'll have an answer soon but more importantly I know it's being looked into and I'm not being ignored! It gets a little frustrating at times!!

Thanks Vicki and I agree Pixie, it's being ignored that's the concern.I know we're beholden to our debts but we're now very committed to the long term plan so we need full cooperation from our company...
