I've been with O2 for years and upgraded earlier this year. I wasn't in a contract either, as it had expired some time before and I just let the account run. It was before my IVA, but I was in a DMP and they said yes straight away.

I've never missed a payment. I did check their T&C and all it said was that they MAY terminate a contract if you are BR, IVA or DMP.

It will be interesting to see what happens next August when I can upgrade again.

I think I've just been really unlucky, makes me really frustrated that other network providers seem more reasonable than 3 and that it was so black & white with them. Oh well, we live and learn....

Let us know how you get on Abby.

Chris - I looked on 3's t&c and they also say 'may' terminate contract.

I think you have just been unlucky.

Hi all,
Just to let you all know that 3 have been ok with me so far.
Had contract before my IVA started.
I have upgraded twice with no problem (saying that they will proberbly write to me now and terminate...lol).
Even when my phone was stolen and had to go through the insurance, this did not stir up any issues.
Have looked at changing from 3 and all said no due to the IVA, so I will stay with 3 for as long as they will have me.
Guess some people are just unlucky with 3.
Regards

Maybe if I'd kept the £35 per month contract instead of dropping it to £22 they might have let me keep it....
For now I'm bum-as-you-go (as the hubby calls it)....lol
It's nice to be back......
