And us. I had the year from hell in 2006 with hubby having a bypass, pulmonary embolisms, dad having a heart attack and a bypass and both parents stopping with us for a while afterwards. I also had gall bladder problems.

I ended up going off sick - 3 weeks with the gall bladder and then five weeks with stress.

When I got back to work it was like the Spanish Inquisition! I had to have an interview with HR to find out why I had been off sick! I was waiting for the rack and the thumbscrews!

That is dreadful Kallis. If only they realised when youre ill youre ill and you dont actually care... but as soon as you start to get on the mend, you start worrying about work and what youre goning to get when you get back and it puts you back at least another week, or depression sets in.

I fell on a wet floor, in a ward and had a minor but painful back injury and was taken to A and E. I couldnt drive home and left my car at work for 2 weeks, I was phoned every single day. Errr just doing the rota's for the clinics, can we book yours?? Oh, your car is still here, how are you getting around?

Same her Jan Hubby had heart attck, i had to have gall bladder removed and other girlie stuff done all in the same year, but made no difference that it was obviously legit, previous to that I had not been off sick for nearly 2 years. Still had to go through all this stage one and stage 2 stuff. As you say you actually end up depressed and ill over he treatment you get. Anyway talking of work I am off ther iin a couple of mins.
Lily email you later.

Off now till Monday thank goodness!

Same here Ang, hadn't been off sick for almost three years beforehand and not been sick now for 18 months. Last time was with a particularly bad bout of flu and I even staggered in the first day so they could see how ill I was and that I wasn't swinging the lead!

Got no thanks for it though!
