I would like to know the best way forward…

Finebridge – has anyone had any experiences with this company?

Grant Thornton – anyone dealt with them before? What were they like?

Thomas Charles – spoke to them and found them to be a bit pushy. They also wanted payment up front – in the sense that I start making IVA payments before it is approved. Has anyone had a better experience with them?

CCCS – they seem to know what they’re doing but I have been advised that there can be long delays because they’re services are oversubscribed. Is this the case?

I am not sure whether to go for an IVA or DMP, so who I choose will be dependent on what they say at my interviews, but any feedback would be VERY helpful. It seems like there are a lot of sharks out there.

Thomas Charles did all the ground work for the iva proposal before it went to Acuma which are the Insolvancy Practitioners.

Hi, mine is a tricky case but I initially applied via Grant Thornton. Waited 4 weeks for my 1st proper contact about the IVA.

They could not help me so have gone to Thomas Charles who are confident they can. They have been fantastic and are confident within approx 10 days my case can be drawn up and passed to an IP which is fantastic.
They have been extremely friendly, efficient and non judgemental and I would reccomend them a million times over.

Hope this helps!

I had a bad experience with CCCS who recommended a debt management plan which would have taken us over 15 years to pay and never once discussed or referred to an IVA. In the face of a stat demand and an application for a CCJ they told me "not to worry".
I turned to thomas charles as the 3rd company I had spoken to and they were the only ones who seemd realistic. I only made one payment to them and they put me onto Melanie Giles as our IP and you don't get any better than her. They were there to support me thoroughout as well so my experience was very positive with them I have to say.
