expenditure or debts? I'm stuck

I am filling out the expenditure section on the forms i've received but I'm stuck. When I was on IS I was overpaid and I pay it back £10 per month. Does this get put down on the expenditure form or is it classed as part of my debts? Thanks

You should include this as a creditor under the heading H M Revenue & Customs.

My local Citizens Advice Adviser lists it under Priority Debts.

However on CAB Website i found it could be put under ordinary debts to be challenged, so i emailed pointing out this as was confusing.

I would say it is a Priority debt but you could challenge this and you can also write saying that you need a lower payment and send in an Income & Expenditure sheet as to other creditors,unless you don't wish them to know!Can i ask why you have overpayment?

When I was in uni a few years ago the person I spoke to about student grants said I was entitled to a grant and IS. As it turns out, I wasn't so I am paying back the IS they paid me for that period.

There is absolutely no priority these days to H M Revenue & Customs, however if you are receiving one set of benefit, and have an overpayment of another, they will likely set the one off against the other.

If you are not receiving any State Benefit at present, then include this debt along with your others as I said earlier.
