I would love to say it will be ok, the OR's do vary, I dont think it an unreasonable request. When you have your interview be prepared to put a good case for the need of the car, necessary for work etc. Remember you wont have to give all your surplus to an ipa, so if needs be you could use some of that.
Have you provided for everything in your I and E, dentist clothes etc, there are lots of little things you can forget make sure it is right.

Hi Ang

I have included dentist, my kittens, prescription, ect.

I have even worked my dinner money for £3.50 a day for only 11 months i work a year.

My household exp is only £100 a month

If i got public transport to work it would cost £10 a day and i would need to get 4 buses for the days i work here and trains and taxis for the 1 day a week i work from another office so it would cost £300 a month travelling .........

Why does this interview feel so scary !!! i know it will be a lady ( may be she will be understanding )

It is normal for it to be scary. I was so scare when I admitted down the phone that we were in debt. As with everything it is usually never as bad as you expect. When is your meeting with the OR, is it by telephone. The fact that public transport would be as much and a little more, makes it more sensible to be allowed to keep the car Hopefully you wont have to wait too long and then you can settle to getting straight.

Hello

Thanks for answering Ang, not sure when interview is, its by phone.

I will just have to be honest with them, but even if they do not allow £111 a month for car like you say i could fund from the surplus, will they allow me petrol, insurance, tax ?

Well if they dont allow you the car they will have to allow the travel expenses so that should cover the tax etc, as said put a good case that you could not travel on four buses and stay working , the time on the bus would be immense I would think. If it were me I would have to stop working as a ten minute bus ride makes me feel sick. I really hope all goes well for you. Let us know how it goes. There are so many other things more important than money, like the lovly boyfriend you have supporting you and family. All the best, hope I helped a bit.

The lady i spoke to was so nice, i was really worried about my car as i need it for work, my mum took out the HP agreement as long as i paid her back, they will not allow the repayments in my budget, but if i like i can pay out of my surplus [:D]
