Well knock me down with a feather .

Slap me with a wet kipper

From the Insolvency web site

Bankruptcy Order Date 10 July 2007

Status Discharged On 21 December 2007 (Early Discharge)

That would be 5 months and 11 days !

Speechless - for a change [8D]

I'm so pleased for you Mish! Did they write to you or did you find out by looking at the Insolvency Register?

Skippy

The Insolvency Service sent me a letter with an attached letter from the County Court. I only got it this morning ... and I had been discharged since before christmas !

I checked on the Insolvency site and that had been updated to show the early discharge.

I haven't been on-line for a week due to my house move, so I dont know when that was changed.

In practice it doesn't really effect me as Im still paying my IPA and I don't want any credit cards/loans/mortgage etc but I guess i can apply for a contract phone again, maybe get a cheque card ( officially ) - the co-op let me keep my full current account with cheque card provided that I didnt use the cheque book - so I had a Cashminder account and a current account throughout - with a proper Visa debit card. They really are nice people ! [:)]

I am proper chuffed, having lost my motorbike and my house , 2008 is looking up ...
Early discharge
Got a rented house
Got an old banger of a motorbike

Still skint but smiling [:D]

I really am pleased for you Mish - you deserve a great 2008. I've got 10 weeks and 5 days to go so I'm almost there really. I'm npw sweating on whether I get a BRU or not - you know me, I've got to have something to worry about!

I hope you have a good celebration tonight - plenty of Scotch!

Hurrah! well done Mish I know that this is the best start, well one of the best starts that you can have to the NY - sorry I have been so absent recently, trying to get my head around alot of things at the moment and realised that I had been away for a long time. Happy New year all!

Fantastic news Mish, wish you all the best.

I reached my 5 month aniversary Monday. So am hoping for some good news soon too.

Hi Fudge, hope you are ok. Was wondering what you were up too, had a break from the site myself for a while think I had BR overload if you know what I mean.

Yes I know what you mean and I was worried that I was becoming an addict! how goes it with you? have you sorted out the house? I had a scary looking letter just after xmas saying that my half now belongs to the offical trustee but nothing since, 4 months since being made BR for me god how the time flies!
