Hi all,

I have applied for an IVA with Accuma, but I have had a really hard time with them, I Originally sent off all of my documentation and they contacted me to say that they needed some more so I then sent that off to them, When I rang to check that had received it i asked the lady that I spoke to if she could let me know ASAP if they need anything else and that I was going away to stay with my Boyfriends Family in 2 Weeks time and that I wouldn't be contactable, I didn't hear anything from them for 2 Weeks so I presumed everything was O.K. I rang them the day before I went away to check that everything was O.K. and they said that they needed yet more paperwork from me, when I asked why no-one had contacted me about this they said that the lady I need to speak to wasn't there and that she would ring me that evening, I didn't hear anything from them and tried to ring them again only to get the answer machine I left a message but I still didn't hear anything, whilst I was away they had sent me two letters asking for the missing documentation and because they hadn't had a reply they also sent all of my paperwork back, even though I gave them the dates that I would be away when I first started dealing with them and they had them down on the computer because the other person I spoke to told me, I have since had a letter from one of my creditors saying that they will be sending me a statutory notice for Bankruptcy as my main creditor is Northern Rock I am wondering whether to just go along with the Bankruptcy, I still live with my parents and I have no real assets my boyfriends car is in my name, but he can prove that he paid for it so apparantly it should be safe is this the case, and also could you tell me what a statutory notice is please and how it works, Does this mean that I will not have to pay the Bankruptcy Fee

Hi Daisy May

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, it does look like we have tried to contact you on a number of occassions and there is also a note on the system to say that you were going away. We do try to obtain as much information as possible in relation to our clients financial affairs in order to put together accurate proposals to their creditors and this does sometimes cause delays.

However, it sounds like bankruptcy may be your best option as you have no assets or occupation to protect. As I have commented in response to your other post, you could wait for Northern Rock to petition for your bankruptcy or you could petition yourself.

Hope this helps

Hi

How does Accuma seem to know who Gemini and Daisy May are by theirlog in names? They have been able to work out who they are and make reference to their files all from a screen name. I'm sure its all above board but spooky.

You have to give your name when you register and they may work it out from your email address which you give also, I am only guessing tho. Accuma seem to be linked with Thomas charles who seem really big on this site but I am only using my own observations, someone must be paying for all this, right??? Just guessing here, a lot of buisness must go their way from here?? Nothing is free really is it??? I think helpful for both debtor and IVA co's.

well when you look at it lilly and dave it seems that way, a lot of regular posters who post on here and use the experts that we recommend seem to get caught up on this, but then again this forum is set up and run by james fella's friend so hey! thats where they get there info please correct me if i am wrong taking into account that james helped set up Tc,not having ago but pointing out facts for all to share, seems a shame that when anyone using this forum that uses the experts here all get picked up on when they post then getting the rest of us to worry about who is watching just a thought, you all know i love posting here.

And can I just add that, as the IP with the highest number of forum postings, that I have no idea who is who - unless of course people tell me their forum names which they often do.

I partake on the forum because I enjoy sharing my knowledge with people, and learning from others. I gain just as much knowledge as I give out, and it would be a shame if people stopped posting because they felt that they were being watched. I am sure that this is not the case.

As with many of the regular posters I find the forum addictive, and long may it last to everyone's benefit.

i have audited this site, personally, and picked up on those who have said they have had problems with being spied upon, and i can assure you those that have said they have had problems have all been from experts they have used upon this site,i am not trying to cause negativity, but for my own purpose i wanted to show a truer figure,i am not saying they have access to e-mail sites, me for one loves it here, i wanted to see and audit who,why and when they felt they were being spied upon, and after several months i found my answer, and i am sorry to say accumma, and TC being there worst to confront there clients for posting on here, well what do i say!!

i am not having ago as i love this forum and it has been my rock throughout my journey, maybe its all coincidence, and down to the fact that some posters do post their full names in their profiles, i am not trying to cause disruption, sorry if i have spoken out of turn.

Sorry Admin but I seem to have opened a can of worms here. I told Melanie at my meeting with her the name I posted under but I get the impression Accuma don't have that same IP/client relationship Melanie has.

Maybe Gemini or Daisy May can shed some light on how Accuma knew who they were.

I did say that I was guessing and I didnt want to cause anyone to stop posting, I have had a lot of support from the forum and have tried to help others who are going through what I have. I have been posting here for a long time now and have noted people that have said they have been spied on. As I said above this site is helpful for both IVA co's and debtors. I also believe that TC get a lot of buisness from here, I guess we will never know how the co's find out the identity of the posters, or the creditors for that matter. I think it ia a good thing that Melanie posts here, and megga glad to know that our emails remain private. It is very rewarding to see many people come here, desperate and affraid , thinking they are all alone and then gaining strength and getting through the debt journey, with everyones support, long may that continue.

Hello all

Sorry to read all the above postings, I would like to confirm that we do not have access to any members email addresses and we are not trying to spy on anyone.

However, if someone is specifically complaining about the service or advice they have received from Accuma on this forum, clearly, we would like to deal with the issue and resolve any problems as soon as possible.

Often we are already aware of the issues as we monitor any complaints made to the office and take them very seriously.

Hi all
I have been away for several days.
Just to first pick up on this point.
No one has access to emails other than admin and myself so Accuma have,as said, just put two and two together.
TC and ACCUMA are, alongside Melanie, the most prolific professional posters and are open to critics on this site by posting and I think that we must applaud them for this.
Anyone can post on here, any creditor ,any IP,any debt managment company and anyone with a question or view.
It can,t really be any better than that..can it ??

Hi Accuma

Thanks for your response. My post was not intended to accuse you of spying. I just found it odd that with all the clients you would have on your books that you were so easily able to identify 2 posters here. I certainly didn't expect all the responses it got.

If you have been able to determine the identity of the posters from the limited amount of information provided it suggests there are people in your company who have good knowledge of the cases they are working on and that can only be a good thing.
