Hello

I have seen it asked so often on this forum but have not seem anyone post a reply mentioning this site so please forgive me if I am repeating old news.

I came across this pre-paid card comparison site by chance and it seems quite helpful. It compares all the prepaid 'credit cards' out there giving the pros, cons and charges. This may be helpful for those people stuck with basic bank accounts.

My personal favourite is The Bread pre-paid Maestro Card with a £10 setup fee, no monthly fee, no usage fees,£1.50 atm fee and you can top it up at any off license with PayPoint for a £1 fee.I think it's brilliant!

Hope someone will find this useful

Anyway check out the site and compare with some others.

yeah, I have been to his site. The only three cards to consider are:

Ministry of Sound -Masetro
Bread -Masetro
Cash plus -MASTERCARD
Virgin -Mastercard

For abroad, plane flights or out of the UK shopping the Mastercard is a must!!! Also after your IVA Banks won't give anyone a visa debit card for upto a year?? Strange but confirmed by a forum member called Shazzy

I've got the Virgin card which charges 2.95% of each spend. I use it very rarely it works out ok for me.
