Hi Sue it is quite normal to adjourn mine was adjourned for 14 days it was still excepted but with modifications,
So i wouldnt drown your sorrows think positive i know its hard but so many posters have had successfull iva's after an adjournment,don't despair, hang in there.

we have 'nt even sent the paperwork off yet and I feeling very stressed at the thought of the meeting now! - I am assuming that if the IP takes it that far that it should go through - yes?

Yes - your IP would not waste your time, or their own, on a case that they felt was unworthy of acceptance.

do you really think the creditors will say yes if he had a gambling problem but he hasnt done it for nearly four years

Absolutely - if the proposal is good and it offers a better return than would be available in bankruptcy.

phoned dfd today as it has been the week they delayed it for.they said they are still waiting for barclays to vote.have to phone back friday.has anyone had problems with barclays voting no or not?i am getting worried how they keep postponing it.

in my Iva Barclays bank one of my biggest single creditors didnt vote at all,Barclay card did they said yes but my Barclay loan didnt,luckly for me 100% of creditors that voted said yes so it was agreed,but the odd thing was before meeting i received a letter from Barclays saying they were aware of my meeting so wouldnt issue a default notice until the day after meeting,is this normal or not.
