No, I wouldn't bother. Just ignore them now. They will only try and bully you into making a payment.

hi, agree with above, they'll put pressure on,try to frighten you into paying, you must not. all creditors must be treated the same.

sometimes the tel. numbers charge you a lot to ring them too.

you hold onto any spare cash, get your emergency fund going. a IVA is a commitment, make sure you've got that little pot for emergencies.
pass all letters like this over to your IP firm.
hope you're ok,hug x
Nothing stays the same...everything changes..hang on in there!

Hi, like you I was worried by companies demanding money - as long as these debts are covered by your IVA arrangement just ignore them. For them to take action does take weeks by which time your IVA is up and running and you are fully protected. Don't even ring them to tell them about your IVA, be confident that your IP has done all the hard work for you and enjoy the fact that you have control of your finances and have a plan for the future.

Hi,

It's me again...;)

Got another email from Toothfairy Finance saying same thing but also got a text from Northern Debt Recovery to contact them asap and pay outstanding debt...

What should I do ? Should I call them back?

Thanks

Hello,

They don't want to stop at all. Just received another email...
I can't even send them an email as their mailboxes don't accept any incoming emails. They want me to call them on probably premium rate number...

"You have not responded to our request to come to a pragmatic arrangement with you to pay of your outstanding debt with our client ToothFairy Finance Ltd in respect of your ToothFairy Pay Day Loan. By ignoring our attempts to contact you and not coming to a reasonable arrangement to settle this debt YOU WILL:

1. Incur further charges
2. Suffer further adverse Credit
3. Hinder your defence should this escalate to County Court.
4. Leave us no option but to send out Recovery Agents to all addresses we have on file.

Once agents visit it will be very difficult to discount the amount you owe. It is better to make contact with us and set up a reasonable arrangement rather than allow this to escalate.

You currently owe:
Loan and Interest GBP 688
Missed Payment Fee 1 (day 29) GBP 10
NDR Accept Case File GBP 200
Missed Payment Fee 3 (day 43) GBP 10
Solicitors - Case Preparation GBP 150

Repayments todate GBP 0
Total GBP 1058

This can be reduced but you MUST contact us within 3 days on 0843 381 0843. Your file has been sent for review to our Bailiffs and our ground agents to prepare for Court action and door visits. We look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

DEBT MANAGER -
NORTHERN DEBT RECOVERY"

Just ignore them. They soon won't be able to touch you at all. Just hit the delete button.

Hi
as you are in the IVA start up process Send them onto your IVA Company they will deal with them If they call you take the call and tell them to stop calling you and take your number off there database and that if they call yuo again you will report them for data protection :) They are not allowed to have your phone number if you dont want them to have it All they need is a home contact address thats it Dont call them back or any tect as you get connected to premium rate lines
Basically you now have to get tough and just wait for your meeting As you are pretty much being processed its odds on you will be accepted ok Try not to worry everybody says that but not easy to do :) As long as you feel confident you can make the monthly paymetns then you will be fine
any emails FW them on its all evidence for your IVA Companny and if they get threatening then they can act on your behlaf
A few weeks you will be sorted As the others have said by the time they can do anything legal against you it will be too late you will ne protected in your IVA>
Letters and calls etc are just automated junk and standard procedure for them and also they have admin people calling to put pressure on you to pay some money thats how they get there bonuses

Any issues call your IVA Company and talk with them directly ignore the rest You are paying the IVA company not only for setting this up but for the next 5 years of help and advice and service They are the professionals let them take the flak for you
You will be fine ok @_

I think they have just been sending emails rather than phoning.

Whilst the IP company can contact them, they cannot stop them from sending letters, after all we do owe the money.

The call centres are there to bully and I never spoke to my creditors at all.

I doubt they will send anyone round but if they do, you don't even have to open the door to them, let alone pay them any money.

Hang in there - your meeting will be here before you know it.

Hi,

It is quite stressful, I can't stop thinking about being rejected etc.

All those emails, interest added daily and phone calls don't help too...

I hope it will end soon with your support :)

Either way, you can ignore the calls and the letters and emails if you wish.

I wrote to my creditors and informed them that I would only deal with them by mail but it made no difference.

In the end I took out BT Broadband talk and got a new phone number so had no calls at all on that one - it was brilliant!
