Hi
Just to let you all know my IVA was accepted today![:D] 1 mod - equity in property to be reviewed after 54 months not 4 years. I think we got 100% yes vote, but will know def when we get report. Don't know how I feel - obviously relieved that we can now look to the future, but at the mo I think I must be numb cos it feels kind of like an anti-climax - wierd!!! Suppose it will hit me later on or tomorrow. Di anyone else feel like this??? Maybe I'm just too tired to have any emations at the moment.[|)]

Firstly congratulations. I was so elated it took me weeks to come down and even now some days I have to think I'm in an IVA, my spending habits have changed dramatically and now I actually enjoy finding bargains and Saturday is taken up with shopping all day.

You're probably tired and the relief of acceptance hasn't sunk in yet but I'm sure it will very soon. Sleep well tonight and I'm sure you'll be jumping for joy tomorrow at this great news. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Fantastic news sblack - I was wondering how you had gone on. Just to let people know, my whole case from start to finish has taken just over 3 weeks!!!! I made the initial call on 20th Feb, accepted 14th March! How quick is that! Hope it all runs as smoothly from now on. I can't recommend Money Debt & Credit enough.

Thanks to you all for your support over the last week or so. It really has been a help to know we were not on our own and not the only ones going through this. Can't wait to go supermarket shopping tomorrow to see if I can pick up more bargains and save more than last week!!!
One question - are we allowed a savings account in an IVA cos every little I can save I'm gonna!

Your feelings are absolutely normal. I too found it a bit of an anti-climax maybe because we feared the worst should the proposal fail (i.e really only leaves a DMP or bankruptcy to consider), You've had an intense time, keeping your emotions in check and weeks if not months of worry. It can feel too good to be true. And you are unlikely to be able to share this excellent news with your friends, well not them all anyway. Don't worry, it'll sink in over the next few weeks and you can breathe again and get your life back on track as the threatening letters stop (and you can rest easy knowing that you are protected from legal action whilst you maintain your IVA). Best of luck - you've done really well.
