This is turning into a sort of blog Perhpas I'll start one.

Anyway, having given the matter a lot of thought (not that I have thought about much else!) I have decided I am going to do a DMP for a period of 3-4 months. Then moving onto an IVA after that time. The reason for doing this is two-fold.

Firstly I want to live on the budget I have worked out for a period of time without being legally required to do so, to make sure I have as been realistic and fair as I think I have been. Once I have done this, then I'll know I can live with an IVA and not fail it.

Secondly, ther eis a very slim chance that some private work I did some months ago as a favour, may actually turn into something, and net me £10K - I would say there is a 5% chance of this happening, and if it does happen it will be in the next month or two. It's not a huge amount, but it would settle a couple of debts.

All the very best to you Pee Bee hope all goes well I know what you mean about living on a budget. Before the iva though we had been living that frugally to pay the bills that what we have now on expenditure a sensible living amount, and we are much better off though not easy. I went without rather than not pay the bills, but it had reached a point where we just could not go on. Each situation is different. Keep us posted.
