I have heard that they provide settlement figures on the basis of a full return as well. I think that must be their own interpretation of "settlement".

Have you actually spoken to your IP, or one of his minions? If not, I would insist on speaking directly to him.

Try emailing him direct instead. You should be able to find his address on here:

keep trying, persistence pays off eventually! It's just taken me almost 5 months to get there. I started mid july and have just had it accepted. In all that time not one person has actually spoken to me and given me any information other than such a dept. is now dealing with it.
Email your Ip direct and take it from there. I had one response from mine and the rest were ignored. I gave up asking them for a figure after about 3 weeks of no response. I then sent them an offer (several times!) based on a figure Melanie worked out for me. Another 4 weeks later they acknowledged receipt and asked for further information. Another 2 1/2 months later I finally got a proposal which was the first indication that it would be put to creditors despite my weekly phone calls!
Email and write to your IP direct, if you have a figure in mind it may well be worth making an offer instead of waiting for them to give you a figure. They will charge an early settlement fee though, so bear this in mind.
Don't be afraid to hound them a bit, persevere with it. The end result is worth all the effort.

I suggest a letter direct to the IP expressing your concerns is a good first step, perhaps enclosing copies of the letters you have sent them with the information they say is outstanding.

David Mond is bound to have some contacts in DFD - I don't or I would offer to step in an try and help - but if David is around later I am sure he will be offering his services as mediator if necessary.

I will get Derek Oakley to look into this as he did promise me that someone would when I contacted him in late October.

Hi,

They should stop once your IVA is approved, the company are just wasting their own money sending these demands to you as they cannot force you to pay.

I would get in touch with DFD again and ask them to telephone this company to get them to stop harrassing you.

Other than that - I'd bin the letter.
