hi

I think i will have a creditors meeting soon! but bit puzzled, because apart from MBNA none of my other creditors have written to me to say that the are aware o fmy IVA. i also haven,t received any call from them,is that normal? Because I am bit worried as to if they will vote on the meeting day, I wast thinking of calling them, but my IP said not to. shall i call them to find out if they are aware? please advise anyone. my major creditors are Lloyds, NATWEST, MBNA, Halifax, Barclaycard.

I would go with your IP's advice and leave it to them.

If I had a fiver for every time I take a call from a client saying that their creditors say that they have not heard from my office, I would not need to go to work!!!

Not to really blame the banks, as there are different departments dealing with different bits of your account, but trust your IP to deal with the creditors as Storm has already advised. I am sure that they will have written to them as this is standard practice.

sorry, this question may sound daft, but what happens if no creditors vote on the day? is there another meeting arranged? what if only one or two crediotrs votes, how will the 75% be secured?

answer will be appreciated.

Hi
We have had a forum member that had an IVA accepted when only one creditor voted !!
Some ceditors may ask for more time to decide and this is when a meeting is often adjourned for two weeks.
Good Luck

I have a creditors meeting next week, and only this week have I received acknowledgement from them regarding my IVA, and that's only from 6 out of 15 creditors.
