My first annual review is being conducted at the moment and I am starting to feel pretty anxious, it feels like all the stress of the setting up the IVA.

My circumstances have changed substantially over the past year, I have been completely honest with my IVA company in submitting my review information and whilst my earnings have increased, but I have more costs, I lost my lodger and I had a gap in employment this year. I did earn a bonus, but my earnings through the last year have been the same as in my proposal over all.

Throughout this I have maintained my IVA payments, but it is like waiting for someone to pass judgement. My review has been delayed due to me waiting on my P60, then another 2 weeks before more information was requested. and my review is likely to be another 2 weeks, before it is finalised.

Ahh well, feel better for getting it off my chest. My girlfriend knows of my IVA, but doesnt really understand it.

P.s hope everyone is ok, been a while since I have been on here.

Hi Adam, you said it all you've been completely honest with your IVA company in submitting your review information and what more can anyone ask?

I hope your review goes well for you, let us know won't you? x

Hi Adam.

As Lesley says - you have been completely honest with them & your earnings have balanced out to be the same as your proposal. Its just the sitting n waiting to see what review makes of it all?

I understand what you mean by the stress of waiting n we all get anxious at review times.
Im currently waiting for my 2nd review information to come & I have been just as bad as when I went through the 1st one!

Its good to know your girlfriend knows - an IVA can't be easy to understand all the ins n outs when your not in one.

Hope it all works Adam - lets us know how it all goes.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

It sounds like you have done a marvellous job over the last year in maintaining payments under difficult circumstances Adam. I am sure you will fly throught the review with little bother.

Adam I agree, you have managed your IVA superbly and have been honest with your IP step by step. The review should just be a formality.

good luck xx

Its been a longtime since I have posted on here, but as a quick update I have just been through my 3rd annual review.

My IVA was certainly the best thing for me and I wish I had bitten the bullet quite a bit earlier.

Mel's team have been great and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Its great to deal with real people who take time to listen, understand.

Hi Adam, glad you're getting on fine and that your 3 review is over.

Good to read positive comments about your IVA being a good solution and I share your thoughts about Mel's team. x

A big pat on the back from me too. Having been through an IVA, I know they are not an easy option, but believe me, they are so well worth the journey. 3rd reveiew, definately on the downward slope now... good look for the next 2 years and the speed in which the years seem to be flying by it won't be long before you see the finishing line.

I have had my IVA for 2 years now and only just received a letter about my first review, my circumstances have changed income wise but I now live with my partner so my costs have increased. I am worried sick they put my payments up as at present it is at a manageable amount which I am comfortable with and life is so much less stressful!!
Anyone have any stories about their payments increasing?
Thanks

You should really have an annual review or so I always thought?

Any changes in your circumstance should be told to your IP at the time of them happening and that way there won't be any surprises at review time.

Living together they may want the wage details of your partner to show that you're both paying an equal or pro rata share of the bills.

Do contact them and explain all and hopefully the review will pass by smoothly. x

Surely your IP conducted an annual review at the end of the first year in order to file their annual report to you and the creditors, danny? Which IP firm are you with?

Nope, no first review, not sure why.

I am with Debt Free Direct.

What do they do with the reviews, just amend the monthly payments or is it something more?

Cheers
