Hi guys
i have a dilema, was meant to be going on holiday the middle of november with the family but have told them we cant afford to go now, i had accepted this was the situation. sunday my step dad called round and said he wanted us to go and he would pay for us, i have said no, because i feel that is the right thing to do, but he is upset because he doesnt no why i cant.the things going round my head are,
1. not had iva accepted yet, spoke to the ip yesterday and she said things should get moving in a week or so.
2. what if the iva does not get accepted and we have to look at alternatives.
3 what if we need to be here the middle of november for any meetings and we have let him pay for the hol.

ANY ADVICE PLEASE, OR HAVE I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. [:(] [:(]

You wouldnt have to attend the creditors meeting, just be near a phone to hear the outcome.

If you IVA is accepted, this could be your last holiday for a few years. You should go and enjoy yourself.
If its not accepted then a few more days wont hurt while deciding on an alternative. xx

I agree with Mrs Skint. Your step dad obviously wants to pay, and a break will probably do you good. Go and enjoy!

If your IP is "getting things moving" now - she ought to be calling a creditors meeting well before November so I would take the offer and enjoy the treat. It may be a while before you get another opportunity.

As Mrs Skint says it is unlikely that you will need to attend the creditors meeting, but will definately need to be available on the day to agree any modifications.

That's the trouble with forum names - I never know if I am speaking to one of my own clients or not! Abby could you call Angela to let her know your real identity so that I can match this up internally. Many thanks.

You go and enjoy it - but please make sure you let your IP know when you will be away.
