hi all,

its sproglets 11th birthday today, never thought i would manage to get her anything but i did (everything she wanted as well)

we had a good chat about money and i told her things were tight - not exact reasons though as she wouldn't understand- she cried because i had treated her as an adult...

i'm really confused at the moment as to which way to turn, i'm not sure as to what to do for the best...

but we will have a happy day tomorrow and make the most of life...

Well done kiska

So glad it all worked out on the day, I am so dreading the thought of Christmas, I just really want the summer to start. I sat my kids down too and they are so much happier for it, even tho they dont understand fully at the end of the day they want a happy mom.

thats what she said she just wants me to be happy. think sometimes we can under estimate them.

suppose she doesn't have it too bad because she gets double presents as her dad and i are seperated.

but christmas......................nooooooooooooooooooo

me too. Christmas is just too much and will never be the same again for us. But that said we have to make the most of everything. My sister always says you should only be measured by the amount of people who show up to your funeral. Hmm its a bit late, me thinks. However if you can take what life throws at you, laugh, love and dont ever be bitter, you wont go far wrong, she says.

I am sooo dreading Christmas too, we will be bankrupt by then and it will be our first ever Christmas without credit! I just don't know how we will buy presents, food, etc. It will be a cheaper one anyway seeing as this financial mess has cost me my brother, sister-in-law, my dad's avoiding me and I saw my mum the other day and she just blanked me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, at least I won't have to buy as many presents this year!!! I have been dis-owned for being reckless and extravagent!

Jane

I had this last year, first one without credit and I just bought small things, yes I was worried cos of the kids but I explained and they said they didnt mind, they just wanted me to be happy and less stressed and to be honest I was really looking forward to it in the end. We didnt have much but we had each other, then two days before the worst happened and I just realised whats important in life.

Sit your family down and tell them whats going on in your life, we all make mistakes Jane and you are paying for them, they should respect you for that. Its never too late to re-build relationships and it must be worth doing. If they dont get it, well at least you tried. Youre doing the right thing now and living honestly, I know its hard but if they can not accept your honesty....... they are in the wrong. I hope that things improve for you soon.

When I told my family I said judge me if you want but lets get it out in the open, they didnt, I was lucky and they rallied big time.

Good luck to you and your family
