Thanks for that mattyboy. If that's what the ICO want people to do then they should make it clear!

As I went BR I might have to go through the ICO as I don't have an official certificate of discharge so I don't know whether the CRAs will accept the printout from the insolvency register.

Ginger, I hate Tesco more than you could ever imagine - I only go in there as Sainsburys don't sell the teabags I like! Not only are they still defaulting me, I was one of the victims of their dodgy petrol and it cost me a fortune to have the sensors replaced in my car!

Are Tescos part of RBS? Seems to me that the banks that are owned by 'the people of Britain' are the worst in the country.

Tesco Bank is now separate to RBS, they bought RBS out a couple of years ago. Skippy that was just the information I got from the ICO to speed up the process of getting the data updated as I didnt want to wait months for them to deal with my complaint. Worked a treat for me and meant the ICO didnt have to get involved however if you want to refer directly to the ICO then there is nothing stopping you but you may be in for a wait as I think they have a deluge of complaints, no doubt due to the incompetency of the banks.
