Hi Dunkynuts i just wanted to add that i hired a car last week with europecar they just put a hold on £250 on my debt card, I used tesco vouchers to pay for the car hire itself, dont no if you collect tesco vouchers but they are doing a deal at the moment for a x4 vouchers for deals with europecar.

car companies that dont do credit checks please will help so far enterprise and europecar which i find hard to beleive
time is always the answer, stay focus and you will reach the end all in good time

I have used Hertz a few times during my IVA, I contacted the branch directly where I was hiring from and they accepted my Visa debit card, but it has to be a 'proper' visa debit not an electron type...
They just loaded my debit card with the deposit and paid it back once I returned the car, my last hire was a couple of months ago so things may have changed since then.
