Is it automatic that IVA information is removed after 6 years from my credit file ?

i completed in full my iva in june 2011 so now its been over 6 years since the start, should my credit file now reflect that by the information now be removed from my file, in other words is it automatic or have i now got to fight to get the creditors to remove it

It should have come off automatically but I sent my IVA completion certificate to the credit agencies and asked for it to be removed ... just in case!

I wrote to Experian, Call Credit and Equifax.

If you ask them for your full credit report you will be able to check.

The IVA should come off automatically but any defaults registered after the date of IVA acceptance will need to be removed by the creditors.

Send a copy of your completion letter to the data controllers of the creditors concerned and tell them to remove those defaults.
