whole of market means sub prime lending, not a route I would go down personally. My instinct would be just for peace of mind check your CR to see that a search has been done, that ties in with the offer in principle and if so then so much the better!

Thank you for clearing that up for me, we have been speaking to a whole me the market lender who has been really helpful but has not done any firm searches yet but the offer in principle was from nationwide, am i right in thinking they are not a whole me the market lender?

Hi Kelly,

Sponge is wrong again!
As a note, Whole of Market broker means we are able to access all lenders in the mortgage market place, not only sub prime.

We have helped many members on this forum obtain mortgages who have previously had IVA's not only with sub prime lenders, but also with High Street banks.

I hope this all works out for you. If you would like to talk it through, please contact me under the Experts tab on the left hand side

Sponge....I have let it go until now and I apologise to others reading this but please be more thoughtful in your comments on the forum.
Your response to Ryan in this thread is totally not acceptable on a forum that is here ti support people from all backgrounds and circumstances.
Ryan helps many posters on the forum, move forwards with their lives and gain a footing on the property ladder..me included.
Everybody's circumstances are very very different and Ryan has been able to best match a mortgage product to the needs of his client.
As Ryan has clearly explained in this thread and others...mortgages are available at different rates from high street lenders at normal interest rates to lenders with extreme rates.
Please allow Ryan the opportunity of helping forum members without instantly throwing back inappropriate remarks.

I have to agree with luluj here, sponge.

We have had this discussion elsewhere -- a whole of market broker looks at the WHOLE of the market for products best suited to individual needs. The alternative is a broker tied to several providers, which limits the choice, or worse still, one tied to a specific company which really limits your choices.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
