Becky - Well done, I can't imagine what that must have been like for you and wish you all the best and hope you continue to go from strength to strength[:D][:D]

elizabethr - how sweet, true love really does win through in the end[:D][:D]

I think one of my proudest moments was nursing and looking after my mother through a serious case of breast cancer six years ago. Horrible time throught the op, chemo and radiotherapy. As if that wasn't bad enough she rupptured her achilies tendon at the start of the daily radiotherapy and was in plaster on crutches and we had to keep getting to hospital everyday for radio which was in central london[:(] Really proud of her [:D] and how she coped, but I would not have wanted anyone else to look after her and in the end it brought us so close.
6 years on now so we survived[:D][:D]

Have no kids, but proud of my baby boy dog (he will be 5 this week[:I] and still my baby!!)
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Emma x

I've got to say that my proudest moment was plucking up the courage to leave my ex husband (after 20+ years of mental and physical abuse), always stayed for our daughter and the fact that financially i couldn't pay everything alone, hence the IVA now and so so happy now, have a new man and a very happy teenage daughter, also got a lot of support from the Domestic Violence forum.

We are proud to have five children between us all adults now. My husband has one daughter age 32 two sons age 30 and 28. I have two daughters age 22 and 20. He also has three lovely grandchildren age 5- 18mths and 13mths. Unfortunately we never had a child together but still consider ourselves blessed. As long as they are all happy we are too!!
We do have a cat too!!!!

My proudest moment was when my daughter got selected to join Arsenal Ladies Academy. She is an a* student (dont know where she gets that from) but to play football at Arsenal was a dream come true for her. Also in Ausgust she was called up for the Senior squad(she already plays for WALES u19s) for Wales was her dream. I just hope she doesnt make the same mistakes as me with regard to money. I am not letting her get into debt. I will kill her first lol

My daughter really is somebody to be proud of.
Since my illness she has stepped in and helped with the cleaning and taking care of the younger children if im poorly or just too tired.
She never argues or says "i'll do it later" just gets on with it, a lot of the time without even being asked. I have to say, sometimes i really dont know what i would do without her she really is a diamond.

Nothing complicated .... just my daughter .

When she gives me a hug when she knows Im low .
When she doesn't ask for much when she knows we are skint.
When she tells me I need a haircut.
But mostly when she says "love you dad ".

Cheers

Going back to how pleased my granddaughter always is to see me today she brought me a pine cone and a stick. They are on my mantlepiece and she's had them in her pocket since Friday bless her. They are my presents.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I think its really good that Andy started this off - there's so much doom and gloom so its good to remember what life is really all about and its good that everyone can do that.

It's not about me, but I wanted to say how proud I am of my dad and my uncle. My dad had MS, osteoporosis and finally cancer and despite being ill for 20 years he never complained.

My uncle died of cancer last year and he fought it very bravely. He'd had a major brain operation after a stroke the year before the cancer was diagnosed and we thought he was on the mend. Then he was diagnosed with cancer and given 3 months to live but had 9 brilliant months where he did more than most people would do in 9 years.

Although neither of them are here now I am so proud of them both and miss them both. If this sounds morbid it's not supposed to - they are both an inspiration to me.

From a personal point of view my greatest achievement is passing my driving test just over 8 years ago. I'd passed in an automatic when I was 17 as I couldn't get the hang of a manual and kept meaning to learn in a manual for years. In 1999 my dad died, Dave and I split up and I had problems at work so I decided that I needed something to focus on and took lessons in a manual and passed my test. Believe me it's much harder when you've picked up 7 years of bad habits!

I walked all 700 miles of the southwest coast path. Started in August 2004 at Minehead and finished last June in Poole. It was a proud moment when we finished. Beautiful views and all types of weather a great experience!!!

It is of course my children. I remember when the midwife gave me my firstborn to hold I was terrified to move in case I dropped him!! By the time our 4th child came along I was a trained nurse and delivered him my self (midwife supervised) He was born at 10:30 am and we were all back home by 6pm. In fact that evening my wife was busy in the kitchen doing next days packed lunches whilst our newborn slept face down on my chest. Very proud moment [:)]
My thanks to Melanie and her team :)

Mine has got to be my daughter, she is fantastic (can be a pain at times) but overall she is lovely. As you may have read I have told her about our financial situation and she is taking it in her stride, which is one less worry for me and the hubby. I think she is beautiful and intelligent (hasn't got it from me) and I am very proud of her...[:D]
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

Isn't it amazing how much positivety other people do bring to our lives!

My two proudest moments would have to be marrying James after 10 years of being together and 18 months into our IVA - although he still maintains our marriage isn't legal becausing I started to laugh during my vows "For Richer, For Poorer"

Second one had to be when my little sis turned to her boyf when he was trying to persuade into getting finance for a new car and said "I don't need a new car, I have one loan and my sister is in debt"

At least someone has learnt from our mistakes!
