Today I have recieved a letter from my Bolton based IVA company stating that they have transferred my IVA to a company named Grant Thornton and that this was approved in the High Court on Feb 20th.
I'm told that this company will contact me, but I don't have to change my payment or current payment method which is by Standing Order.
Has this happened to any other forum menbers?
Debt Matters say they have undertaken a strategic review of their business. Hmmm! What happens to the money that I have been paying them?
I again telephoned them but again the phone just rang and rang [V]

Hi jkt 1950
See my other thread one titled Debtmatters I to have just received a letter but mine is going to payplan depending when started your IVA like mine its in its first 12 months the money will be going to IP Costs and company costs. The main thing is to keep paying the Iva when its due as nothing else changes you still come debt free in month 60.

Hi Phil, thanks for your reply.
Just read your thread and it explains a lot and also answers some unasked questions I've had about Debtmatters. I will be going into year 3 in May so am almost half way.

My partner has a DMP with Payplan and it has to be said that they are very easy to contact and have been pretty helpful to her.

I just checked out the Grant Thornton website and as yet it offers little information.
Good Luck with your IVA and thanks again

HI

The Supervisor has to account for the money you have paid. Basically they will take the fees they were entitled to claim on a monthly basis and the balance will be passed over to Grant Thornton. I suspect they might even simply take over the bank account that Debtmatters are running for you so you might not even detect any change in method of payment.

Don't worry about this too much. Grant Thornton is a highly reputable firm. From a fee perspective (and everything else for that matter) they are just as bound by your proposal as Debtmatters was.
