Often people agree a payment break with their IP while waiting for an offer to go through, otherwise you will be expected to maintain payments. You need to have a little chat with your provider to decide and agree.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thank you, I will continue with my monthly payments until I hear from IP about it all, I’d prefer to do this as it shows my commitment etc.

Finally sent through all the required information etc, put through the offer of £4500 and said that the offer is only valid for 2 months and will be retracted if not accepted.
Fingers crossed…
Nows the waiting game.

Hopefully it will be accepted, however giving them a 2 month window may not be long enough particularly with the festive period in the middle of it.

Before I contact StepChange does anyone have any idea what could have happened. I had to contact them yesterday regarding a work bonus and had to pay an extra £25 to them. Sorted. But today it’s the 1st and my DD to them is due but it hasn’t left my bank at all nor is pending. Of course I haven’t changed anything myself with this but could it be to do with my F&F?

I haven’t heard back from them regarding it since the 4th November with them telling me they have passed on the info to my IP to consider but since then nothing. :|

Keep pestering them until you get an answer and in the meantime keep the money separate in case they ask for it.

Thank you, after going to the bank to ask I’ve called StepChange in the meantime and finally got somewhere. They stopped the DD whilst this is all being sorted out but I’ve made a manual payment today and they’ve resumed the payments for January. Phewww the worst thing I wouldn’t want to happen is I get declined and then have a few back payments to make so I explained that and said I want to carry on.

But the good news is…. I’ve confirmed the variation request and they will put forward a meeting mid to end January! So that being said and teamed with my continued payments and lump sum hopefully I have higher chance… as agreed too I won’t have to do my annual review till the outcome of the meeting.

Fingers crossed it all works out for you. I think you have done the right thing in continuing payments whilst it is considered

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you’ve all had a cracking one.
I finally have a meeting date of 25th January. The automated email sent me the annual review but then I callers StepChange last week when this happened and they told me to ignore it as they can see I have my meeting booked in for 25th January so I will await the outcome to decided if I need to do this or not. I’m very nervous but the end might be in sight. All fingers crossed etc let’s hope for a good new year!
I’m still awaiting the draft of the variation report for me to confirm though. I know Christmas, new year and working from home is playing part of this being slower.

Evening everyone,
I got my variation report by post today. I’m a little confused so will call to clarify tomorrow basically as you know third party offered £4500 to settle my IVA, but my report states that they are offering £4320. The numbers part does explain that they will receive 26.84p instead of the original 23.91p to the start of my IVA. So could this reason be why?
