It may mean the Supervisor has overlooked the responsibility of registering the IVA, or it's simply got lost in the post. If it's not there say 3 weeks after the approval then something has gone wrong. You might want to take it up with your IP in that case.

Whilst I can see how it might be viewed as advantageous if your name wasn't on there, it's important to remember that that is the one piece of solid, independent evidence that you are in the IVA and thus protected from creditors.

I am acting for this poster, and we have not overlooked registering the IVA. So it has either been lost in the post or is sat in someone's in-tray at the Insolvency Service.

I am happy to chase this along if you would like me to - but have to say that most clients would be very happy not to appear on the register even if this is by default!

I didn't think for one minute that you would have done so, Melanie! Frankly I am now searching the website at the DTI as a matter of routine and printing off the entries relating to my clients simply to ensure that all is present and correct.

On the question of post, I don't think I can ever recall the postal service being anywhere near the shambolic state it's in now.

I agree Ian - not a day goes by when I hear some case of "lost in the post" from my staff. And we have to print the details off ourselves, as the Insolvency Service have now stopped notifying us of registration details.
