That's really nice of you Ladyh.

It is a really excellent forum. I have a couple of places I visit for other things (crafty things for techniques n stuff) but the people on here are far, far friendlier.

Ah, I love your kitties too. Last night hubby and I heard a big bang from upstairs and when we went up she had fallen out of the bed.........into the bin!!!!!!! She was really upset and made funny noises but I near wet myself!!!!!!! She slept on top of me all night and I had to hold her as I thought she might do it again. I love her to bits but she's a bit daft! Viki X

Viki

It's nice that your dad may go with you.

How old are you? If you don't mind me asking?

I was 18 when I had Little T - not ideal but I wouldn't change anything now. Sort of had to put my life on slow motion till he is a bit older. In a year or two I'm going to do more studies and train for something I really want to do! Some of the debt we have is due to OH studying. A few of the courses cost a few thousand and then we refinanced thinking we were doing the right thing (consolidating) in the long run we have just added interest to the debt making it larger than it was - and so it spiralled. This isn't our only source of debt though. Never mind it will soon be onwards and upwards for us two I'm sure. [:D]

I know what you mean about spiralling debt....that's my story too. I think you should study for something that you love, once the IVA is in place your life won't really be on hold anymore. I admire you, I ust don't think I could go back and study again. I really don't know anything other than the restaurant business but I just don't think I could go back into that now.

I'm 37 but I DO NOT act my age at all!!!!!! My biological clock is ticking though, or that's what everyone keeps telling me. I'm sick of people asking, "so is there a little one on the way yet?" I feel under pressure. Before I met hubby I was dead against marriage and I couldn't see myself ever having kids, too selfish with my time I think.

Now, I'm the opposite, although I do like my own personal space and time. I just feel like I have to start the next bit of my life now.

What is it that you really want to do then?

I want to be a teacher (primary school) or full time fosterer or anything with chidren. I need to feel like I'm doing something 'worthwhile' Cheesy I know but it is just the way I am.

It's difficult regarding children though. Mine was n't planned at all and all precautions were taken - somethings are just meant to be. I want more children though, not sure it will ever happen been through all kinds of tests etc everything fine just not happening. I know what you mean regarding pressure. My sis has 4 children and they are wild - but lovely. I am always getting asked when I am going to have another - when you really want one it is not a question you enjoy being asked!!![:(]

I don't act my age either - lifes too short for being boring [:D]

With regards to studying, you can do anything if you put your mind to it. If you can go through all this and come out of the other side then you defo can do anything lol [8D] X

I remember you mentioned this before, I think you'd be a brilliant teacher or fosterer, you give so much support on here and you're so witty![:D] I bet children love you. I love taking my nephews out, they are 18 and 13 now but I've always spent lots of time, just the three of us, going out bowling, cinema, the park etc since they were born. I don't think I could look after anymore than two though....[:0]

You know it's prob not happening because you are so bloomin stressed! It's a huge thing we're going through, I think sometimes we might not realise how this affects us....physically and mentally. Once your IVA is approved you need a good old pamper!!!!! Nothing expensive but a little treat.

Talking of little treats....just had my cake....mmmmmmm, start my diet on Monday eh?[;)] Viki X

We will have to start our diets on Tuesday this week as it's bank holiday lol!

Any excuse.

Maybe that's why it's not happening for you too, being stressed out. I look at it this way -you never have enough money for children. The more you give or get them the more they take. They are lovely though.

We do what you are doing and take everyone elses kid out along with Little T - he loves it but we love it more. hee hee

Have a good day.

Hey hun, I hope you're having a lovely relaxing weekend, how's your Dad? Have you roped him in to doing any odd jobs?!![:D]

Just got in from work, quiet again tonight so I sent hubby on a drive around to see all the other restaurants and bars.....they were quieter than us![:0]

Going to go soak in the bath soon and try and have an early night....brekky tomorrow, that WILL be busy.

I've got my Monday planned anyway....we're going to spend the whole day listing EVERYTHING on ebay.....I might even list hubby, what d'ya reckon.....99p starting bid, no reserve![:D][:D][}:)]

we just have absolutely no money now so will hopefully make a few pennies, I've been ruthless with my clothes and bits and bobs.

Have you anything nice planned? Viki X

p.s. have you seen Barb's avatar....it's SO cute![:o)]

Oh Viki I'm so sorry it's s quiet for you at work. I wish it would pick up slightly for you. I have got to list loads of tools etc, I don't use them and they are getting in the way.

Obviously I don't know your hubby but seems it is a male species do you not think that 99p and no reserve is a bit generous [:D][:D] I would have thought no starting bid and an offer of you paying posting and packing for quick sale [:D][:I]

There are some really lovely avatars o at the minute Maxdebt, barb's Animaleyes, yours, lilly's. There's some really good ones.

Enjoy your bath, I hope breakfast is busy for you and I hope you can get some pennies soon. XX

Viki on a serioous note though. Please be careful if accepting Paypal. We were ripped off to the tune of £500. It's a long story but in short we sold a phone for the above amount and accepted paypal. We sent the phone registered post as per the request from the purchaser and sent the tracking no' via e mail. They thanked us for the tracking no' and then sent us a mail saying they had receivehone and it was fab etc etc. 6 MONTHS later the credit card asigned to the paypal account was debited £500. When I rang Paypal (this in itself was a drama) they told me a charge back had been requested as the person was not happy with the goods - they said it was not what we said it was.
When I raised the fact that we had e mails supporting that the guy was in his ords over the moon with the product they said they could not use emails as evidence. I never got the money back or the phone.

If I had my time again I would accept cheques and wait for them to clear.[:(]

Marie, that's terrible. I always thought that paypal was the best to use when on ebay. I only accept paypal and I only ever pay by paypal too. Crikey, I didn't know they could just do that. I know what you mean about a drama when you phone them, it costs a fortune apparently too. It took me five months for them to change my name when I got married!

I have heard of a lot of mobile phone scams on ebay. Hubby's mate listed one and someone from nigeria wanted him to ship it but to provide all his bank details so they could pay him, they sent a really official looking email, as if it was from paypal but it wasn't.

Do you know, sometimes when I'm talking to people about ebay and I mention paypal......I say payplan instead!!!!! Got debt on the brain.

Thanks for the info anyway, we should accept cheques I'm just too impatient.

Well, I've just edited that bit out now as I am scared that he might come across this forum somehow (paranoid I know) and "sort" me out, if you know what I mean. I can't wait to change to someone I trust. I think he is a bit dodgy now after that.

Going to have a shower now as can't be bothered to have a bath, if you're still around in half an hour, I'll still be here, I just know I won't sleep. Viki X
