We are still having problems with the broadband [:(!]

It has an intermittent fault whereby it just goes OFF. I have reported the problem 3 times in the last week. I am now really irritated by it.

I rang the call centre which routed me to India. The guy apologised because he didn't know what intermittent was???? I accept the language barrier to a point but OMG! ARRGGGHHHHHH!!

To make things totally worse a guy came an told us he has fixed the fault, 40 minutes later it went off again! I wasn't happy.

Again, I went through to India they told me I had to wait until after 7pm to report a new fault???? Err What?

I eventually went through to Scotland and low and behold they contacted the engineer and he came back - so far so good.

O.H. is convinced that Virgin Money is in cahoots with Virgin Media....

Tomorrows another day..........

lol, oh dear you're having a bit of fun are'nt you!!
I have to say with ntl mine was always going off and I'd have to run downstairs to switch it on and off!!! it might have given me a bit of exercise but it drove me nuts!!
since virgin took over I've had no problems at all.
I always found the best line to call was sales, they always answered and put you straight through to the engineer without paying the premium tech response line fees!

To be honest the calls haven't cost me a penny - maybe thats why I am always patched through to a 'difficult' line. I ring 150 from my Virgin media phoneline.

The internet is going really slow and I keep saying 'has that internet gone off'.

I'm sick of hearing myself lol! [:I]

We're with VM and have had nothing but bother with them from day one..... They messed up our D/D's, then charged us admin fees because we weren't paying by D/D!!! Charged us for the Ricky Hatton fight then we couldn't view it! Over-charged us for our B/band causing us to incur a charge from the bank as the payment was refused, we've lost supply because they won't fix the junction box until it is completely vandalised, last week they cut off our entire service because we had gone over our credit limit by pence!!!! The fact that the d/d was due 3 days later didn't matter, then they told me I had to have 6 months clear payment history before they would increase the limit and, yes you have guessed it, because of their errors setting up the d/d's, 6 in total, they couldn't increase it.....at this point I had to laugh to stop from screaming at them.....I had to pay over the phone with my debit card so they could resume the service!!!!!! The cheek of them.....I'm going back to Sky as soon as I can.....
It's nice to be back......

My brother in law was an engineer for them - well actually he worked for the company they subcontract out too. I love him dearly but he is dim to say the least and he was always incurring charges from work for drilling through radiators/wires/pipes etc. Bless!

I hopefully won't have to speak to them again for a while. The most annoying thing is that I am waiting for Melanie to e mail me so I was even more naffed off. I am really very stressed at the moment so every little thing and I am on the ceiling - it is so not like me................[:I][:(]

I hope you get sorted soon. XX Cheeky so an so's how dare they penalise you for their errors...[:(!]

my cousin cancelled them due to the naff service since they took over in her area but as so many on her street had it they couldn't cut her off! She now has free internet!!
I'd be lost without the net now, even for a few minutes.

Nothing changes - Dave and I used to work for them when they were the Cable Corporation and then Telewest. Dave was a tech and I was in customer services - the worst job I ever had!

I am with VM too, they charged me for two tv boxes and I only have one. The network is choked between 5 and 7. I rang them up when they said it was a fault with my router so I plugged it directly and it still wouldnt work, I told them to turn me off as I wasnt paying broadband prices for dial up service, they fixed it then. When I got my bill, they had charged premium rate for the calls.

Lily if you ring customer care they will refund the call charges. Also they always blame the router!

We went back to Sky and BT because Virgin left me without TV, telephone and broadband from July to October last year. I sometimes work from home so this was a real pain. We had only been with them since May, but I explained I couldn't wait anylonger and had to go to another supplier. They were very apologetic and refunded everything I had paid them since May without me making too much of a fuss! Result!
