Thought that I would start a thread concerning an interesting point that Skippy13 made about the Virgin prepaid card.

That's a pain - I've used my Virgin card to book a hotel with no problems. I wonder why you can't use this one?
That an interesting one Skippy as I was reading thru the Virgin T&Cs last night as I also have a Virgin card.
It does not mention anything about NOT booking hotels or hiring cars with the Virgin card like other cards do, all it says is that they may do a check against the card.

So it looks like that the Virgin card can be used (like the cash plus) to book hotels and hire cars as long as everything's in good standing.

Has anyone else with a Virgin card had any experience with hiring cars or booking hotels etc[?]

It's a pity Virgin charge a percentage of each transaction. If they did a monthly payment like the others it would be a really good card.

I agree with Skippy. The monthly payment of £4.95 is well worth the benefit of unlimited transactions with Cashplus. I also resent being charged for putting cash on the card upon which the company then earns interest from me ... which is why I like the Cashplus free load at any Post Office system.
