Hi Ang

Ironically probably not - they are probably asking themselves 'How can I still make money from this person?'

It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good !

Best Regards

They were one of my creditors and I actually have the pre-paid card! It's not the cheapest but I had problems getting the Cashplus card, the Bread card was useless and I found the Virgin one the most user friendly.

What an irony ... amazing how the tide is shifting in a relatively short space of time!

Prepaid cards are worse than Creditcard in one sense. You pay to use it? A 2% fee. If you have to have one the cashplus card is the one to get for a one of 'big' purchase as it gives you purchase protection. A fee of £1 is charged. So not for light purchase.

The closest Virgin will run a Bank is a prepaid card.

I would just use a debit card, just as good and no additional fees like those prepaid cards.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

Can I just say that it's all very well to say use a debit card, but if like me you've been bankrupt the most you'll have is a Visa Electron. I've not had too many problems with the Electron, but some places won't accept it and if you're ordering something online a Mastercard can be essential.

I tried to get a Cashplus card, but because I'd not been at my address for more than a year they wanted ID that I don't have - I have no utility bills in my name.

I've tried to shop online and had a few problems but never when I've been in a shop. I only use the pre-paid card for petrol (it saves making sure I've got enough cash) and for ordering online if necessary.
